Allie DeJongh is a senior at Hope College majoring in French and International Studies. She has taken multiple Computer Science courses at Hope, wanting to learn skills that will be useful in whichever career path she pursues. She spent a semester at the University of Luxembourg and a semester interning with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington, D.C. After graduation, she hopes to teach English for a year through programs either in Belgium, France or Japan.
Jori Gelbaugh is a sophomore currently majoring in Computer Science and International Studies at Hope College. She has conducted research with the Hope College Computer Science Department on readability metrics for online articles which she used to develop Articulus, a Google Chrome extension that helps students with reading and learning disabilities. She hopes that her studies will allow her to pair her passion for traveling with her desire to aid in international humanitarian efforts through software development after graduation.
